And the winners are…

Festive Photo Competition results

Before Christmas we launched our expat Festive Photo Competition, and now we have our winners!

Before we announce the winner of each category we’d like to say thank you to all our Facebook friends who got involved, whether that meant sharing their own festive photo or liking other peoples.

To all those who entered but didn’t win, don’t be disheartened. Another competition will be coming up soon!

Now, to our winners… (Drum roll please)

Most Festive Pet

The winner of the Most Festive Pet category was Ory Chalk from Andalusia with her festive pet, adorable 6 month old Yorkie Diego!

Most Festive Family

The winner of the Most Festive Family category was Georgette Kluiters with her photo of Santa and Mrs Klaus, complete with reindeer and elf. Although Georgette now lives in the UK she formally lived as an expat in both Oman and Brunei.

Best Christmas Lights

The winner of the Best Christmas Lights category was Frank Tholen with his shot of seasonal lights in Switzerland.

Best Christmas Scene

The winner of the Best Christmas Scene category was Marika Moritz with her striking picture of a German sunrise beyond the snow capped Alps.

Unfortunately there was no winner for the Best New Year’s Eve photo this year. Although there were two striking and popular entries they were submitted after the competition closed and couldn’t be counted.

The winner of each of our categories not only gets a big congratulations from us, but £25 in Amazon vouchers.

Sadly, there could only be one winner of the Best Overall Photo category. The competition between our top contenders was fierce but in the end Marika Moritz’s festive photo of a snowy sunrise received the most likes and emerged triumphant!

As our overall winner Marika receives an extra £50 in Amazon vouchers, taking her total prize to £75.

Winners should contact us through Facebook so that we can verify it’s you.

We’d like to say a big thank you to all our entrants and well done to all of our winners, keep your eyes peeled for future competitions, next time it could be you who walks away with the prize!
